The TWBHA family would like to wish everyone a joyous New Year!
The executive is hard at work preparing for the upcoming season.
As always, we continue to look for ways to elevate the sport and grow as a league.
Watch for exciting changes ahead!
Thank You Cindy Horton!
This year our long standing member Cindy Horton played her last Master’s game. In typical Cindy fashion, she scored a goal from the slot with her notorious slap shot.
Cindy has been involved with TWBHA over 20 years. She has played on the Master’s team for 7 years winning 6 gold medals and 1 silver. She was on the Master’s all-star team on several occasions.
Cindy has always had the ability to make players on her team reach their full ability while enjoying the game. She recently coached Canada to a gold medal on an international level. She is currently the general manager of team Canada who will be sending a team to Pittsburgh in 2015.
Cindy is not ready for the Hall of Fame yet and plans to continue playing at the house league level, as it stands now, she feels her future is in coaching.
In honour of Cindy retiring from the MAC’s her jersey, number 87, will be officially retired.
On a personal note, Snorton, you have always been a great teammate and I truly enjoyed learning more about the game from the best!!!

The team finished first in the round robin. In the finals we played Stouffville, TWBHA played well but lost 1-0 in the final.
Job well done ladies!
What a fantastic weekend!
TWBHA would like to thank everyone who contributed in making our 3rd Annual Joan Padmore Tournament a success!
This year we raised over $1000 to support Clare’s fundraising goals, as she participates in the “Becel Ride for Heart” benefiting the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Congratulations to tournament winners, Chaos, who beat Merlo’s Mustangs 3-1 in the finals. Thank you to the Chaos for graciously donating their cash prize in support of our cause.
We would also like to recognize the TWBHA Executive for all their hard work in organizing this event. Thank you for helping make this year’s tournament a great success.

OBHA Pre-Season Tournament
TWBHA was well represented at the OBHA pre-season tournament sending two teams. Congratulations to Team “A” for winning the “C” division championship.
Congratulations to the Ontario MAC’S, Gold Medalists at the OBHA Provincials!
TWBHA was well represented at this year’s provincials in Kingston sending 4 teams. We sent 2 B/C teams, 1 to the A division and 1 to the masters. Toronto brought home one gold and one silver.
Both teams from the B/C division, one from the east and one from the west lost their respective quarter-final games.
The Orange Crush won a silver in the A division losing their final game in double overtime.
The Ontario MAC’s from the Master’s division set 3 records within the OBHA. The first was for playing the longest game, 4 hours which included 6 overtime periods. Secondly, the title of provincial champion will be shared by 2 teams, the Ontario MAC’s and Trenton. Both teams played through exhaustion and dehydration. The decision was made, for safety reasons, to declare each team a winner. The third record set by the MAC’s was winning 5 consecutive gold medals at provincials.
Thanks to all members of TWBHA for representing our league. We would also like to thank all friends and family for their support for our members at provincials this year!
