WELCOME TO THE TWBHA SUMMER 2012

Welcome back. As we gear up for Summer 2012, we wanted to make you aware of a few changes. We have a new Executive so be sure to check out the Contact Us page to see who your contact person(s) is/are.

We are aware of the "issues/concerns" that arose in the East last summer (ie. ice on the first night, ice on the last night, no banquet, etc...) and we sincerely apologize for this and any other things that may have been of concern. As a way of making this up to the players in the East, we have discounted the registration fee for the East House League only. Please see the Registration Page for details.

We are also bringing back Sponsorship. If you have a business and would like to sponsor a team, please contact your League representative for more details.

We want to make this association the best it can be. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions as to how we can make it better/more fun, please don't hesitate to drop us a line.

GOALIES ARE STILL NEEDED FOR BOTH EAST AND WEST HOUSE LEAGUE!!!

In an effort to entice more goalies to play House League, we want to offer you a bribe. How does FREE grab ya? Just play 70% of your games and we'll give you back your registration fee. This applies to ALL Goalies!

HOW DID THE TWBHA START?

The Women's ball hockey in the province of Ontario emerged in the mid 1980's as a result of the efforts of OBHA pioneer and Hall of Famer, Judy Ilcio. The first ever female president of the OBHA (1989), who was aptly described by the sport's icon Ken White as, "one of the finest people that our sport has ever been associated with". Judy formed the Toronto Women's Ball Hockey Association in 1983 and played an integral role in the development of the Canadian Ball Hockey Association as well.
